`Mapado' Stays on Top of Box Office
Published on | Source
The domestic comedy "Mapado" has taken the top spot at the local box offices for three weeks in a row, breaking the 1.8 viewer-mark. The film is set in a small island called "Mapado" where only old women live. Hilarity ensures upon encountering two men from the main land.
Another local comedy "She's on Duty" about a female detective sneaking into a high school as a student came in second on the list, which has drawn more than one million moviegoers for two weeks since its release.
Displaced by fierce competition between the two domestic films, Hollywood movies "Million Dollar Baby" and "Hitch" came in third and fourth, respectively.
